Pastor Jerry Curry and his wife, Alice, came to St. George Lutheran Church in January 2004.  Prior to his ministry at St. George, Pastor Curry served for two years as the Outreach Pastor at First Lutheran Church in Columbus, Indiana, and two years as a Chaplain at Methodist, Riley and Indiana University Hospitals in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Before entering the ministry, he spent 31 years in his family's veneer manufacturing business in New Albany, Indiana.

 

 "I've had the wonderful sense of knowing that for once in my life, I am in the right place - doing the right thing!  From the time we open the service, "In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" until we finish with "Go in Peace; serve the Lord," I am aware that I am doing what God has called me to do.  This is a statement of faith and a statement of fact!  I've never been part of a nicer group of Christian people than the people here at St. George."
